The Master Material Guide

Standard Series (PLA & PLA+)

  • The Baseline: Great for indoor prototypes, display models, and "Proof of Concept" parts.
  • PLA+ (High-Impact): Our standard for 2A builds and tools. It is significantly tougher than basic PLA, offering the best rigidity for parts that must hold their shape under pressure.
  • Best For: Display pieces, custom tool handles, and indoor mechanical prototypes.

Versatility Series (PETG & PETG-HF)

  • The All-Rounder: A "best of both worlds" plastic that is tougher than PLA but easier to print than industrial materials.
  • Properties: Naturally waterproof, chemical resistant, and slightly flexible (it bends before it snaps).
  • Best For: Fishing lures, kitchen gadgets, garden tools, and snap-fit assemblies.

Engineering Series (ABS & ASA)

  • The Automotive King: This is why we use an enclosed P1S. These materials require high, stable heat to prevent warping.
  • ASA: Our #1 choice for outdoor and truck parts. It is 100% UV-stable and won't degrade or melt in the sun.
  • Best For: Truck dash mounts, hitch inserts, marine hardware, and exterior drone parts.

Tough Series (Nylon / PA)

  • Industrial Strength: Nylon is incredibly wear-resistant and has very low friction.
  • Properties: It is the go-to for parts that need to slide or rotate against each other without wearing down.
  • Best For: Gears, bushings, hinges, and heavy-duty mechanical linkages.

Elite Series (Carbon Fiber Reinforced - CF)

  • What it is: We take high-end plastics (PLA, PETG, or Nylon) and infuse them with chopped carbon fiber strands.
  • The Advantage: This doesn't just make them look "cool" (matte finish); it significantly increases Stiffness and Heat Resistance. Carbon fiber prevents the part from "creeping" (deforming over time under a load).
  • Best For: High-performance drone frames, racing components, engine bay brackets, and high-end aesthetic parts.
